The Truth About Building Muscle Review

The Truth About Building Muscle Review
Tested by Dave, review written by Andrew

This program really surprised us! We originally thought that Sean Nalewanyj (the author) was full of shit when he claimed his program requires just 24 minutes a day, but there might actually be something about it.

The Truth About Building Muscle is centered around some really effective tips to workout volume, duration and something called compound movement. Using these tips you can make your own workout a lot more effective and thereby get it done much faster.

Sean must also have thought about us young guys when he wrote his program: The Truth About Building Muscle includes information on minimizing alcohol’s devastating effect on muscle building (Dave and the rest of us didn’t drink anything during the test, but don’t bet on us staying sober from now on).

During the test Dave used less than 30 minutes a day to complete his exercises, so it’s quite true that this program only requires very little time every day. The other programs we tested required more time, so we can really recommend The Truth About Building Muscle if you are busy and don’t want to spend too much time on your workout.

Not only is the program fast, it’s also super effective. Dave gained 12 lbs. of muscle during our test and ended up as number 2 in our test. The author, Sean Nalewanyj, must also be proof that this program works. He look big as a house on the pictures on his website – honestly speaking we think it’s a bit to much, but you can of course just stop your workout before you become that big.

All in all we can really recommend The Truth About Building Muscle. John (the tester of No Nonsense Muscle Building) may have gained 2 lbs. more during the test, but that program also required a lot more time every day than The Truth About Building Muscle.

Muscle Gaining Secrets Review

Muscle Gaining Secrets Review
Tested by James, review written by Andrew

This program is written by a real muscle building expert, Jason Ferruggia. He has been training for more than 20 years including 14 years as an instructor. People in 43 countries have been helped by him and he has written articles for magazines like Men’s Health and Maximum Fitness.

Muscle Gaining Secrets start out with a big claim: Just spend 3 hours a week at the gym and you will see amazing results. We would soon find out whether this could be true since James volunteered to follow the program to the letter for 7 weeks .

You can find lots of information in Muscle Gaining Secrets that you can’t find anywhere else. Here is information about warming up, avoiding injuries, etc. and that’s on top of all the usual facts about how to rank exercises, number of reps to make and what to eat and drink.

In addition to the Muscle Gaining Secrets book itself you also get a bunch of free bonus books when you buy. Amongst the things you get for free are six of Jason Ferruggia’s other books.

All in all, Muscle Gaining Secrets is an amazing book. It contains lots of information that you can’t find anywhere else. But by using this program in our test, James gained very little weight compared with some of the other guys, so we can’t really recommend this program if you're looking for a quick and fast muscle gain.

What we recommend is that you buy one of the top programs instead and then, if you can afford it, buy Muscle Gaining Secrets as a second program. The extra information in Muscle Gaining Secrets aren’t strictly necessary, but it sure does help.

No Nonsense Muscle Building Review

No Nonsense Muscle Building Review
Tested by John, review written by Andrew

Let’s make it clear from the beginning. This is the best of all the super efficient muscle building we were testing. Our tester John experienced the biggest weight gain of all of us – an impressive 14 lbs. in 7 weeks.

No Nonsense Muscle Building is written by Vince DelMonte who apparently won the Canadian Fitness Model Championships in 2005. He is one of the only authors who also write for women which we don’t like. Women doing fitness look ugly - please don’t do it, it will ruin your good looks and nice, soft body.

First the book explains common muscle building myths and why they are totally false. By reading the book you’ll for example find out why you don’t have to train like a bodybuilder to become bigger and why you should avoid most supplements like the plague. You will also find out why most magazines recommend supplements (it’s because most fitness magazines are owned by companies that also produce the supplements).

The best part of No Nonsense Muscle Building is definitely ‘Gain 10 pounds in 2 weeks’. The techniques explained in this part are nothing less than amazing and it really gave John a head start in our test. In less than 2 weeks here were ahead of everybody else and he continued his lead all the way through our 7 weeks of testing.

Other interesting parts of No Nonsense Muscle Building are lists like ‘How to Screw up in the Gym’, techniques to eliminate training plateaus, testosterone boosting tips and a nice 52 week weight routine. John did part of this routine during the test – he obviously couldn’t complete it since our test only lasted 7 weeks.

We testers are all young (aged 20-22), but this program also seems to be for older guys. There are at least 30 testimonials on Vince DelMonte’s website and some of them are from people who could be our daddies (this Richard Spies guy from Ontario even looks like Brian’s dad if Brian’s dad didn’t carry a big round stomach).

Included in the price of No Nonsense Muscle Building are some really nice bonus gifts. First of all there is the 29 week training program that John followed, but there is also a training program for advanced users, a nutrition program (that John also used) and a lot more (too much to mention here).

It may sound like we are going over the top in our review of No Nonsense Muscle Building, but this really is a great program. John followed it to the letter for 7 weeks and the results were amazing. Highly recommended for anyone interested in muscle building.
